The origin of the word "Rayyan". It is the doer of the verb:-

رَوِيَ يَرْوَى

Menghilangkan dahaga

To quench the thirst

رَوِيَ يَرْوَى رَيّاً أورِيّاً فهو رَيَّانُ وذاك مَرْوِيٌّ
